Assignment of the activities of Smart Sri Lanka Programme to the Department of Manpower and Employment

- The Smart Sri Lanka Institute has then been established under the Presidential Secretariat on the Cabinet approval with a view to coordinating and supervising career guidance from national level to regional level and implementing the same as a national programme under a new approach utilizing the modern technology. The said Institute has now been included in the purview of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Accordingly, the Cabinet granted its concurrence to the action taken by the Minister of Youth and Sports to assign the Smart Sri Lanka Institute to the Department of Manpower and Employment and continue its functions.
