Amending the Fiscal Management (Responsibility) Act, No.3 of 2003

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted on 2020‑12‑21 to draft a Bill for amending the Debt and Guarantee Rules specified in the Fiscal Management (Responsibility) Act, No.3 of 2003. The Legal Draftsman has drafted the relevant draft accordingly and clearance of the Attorney General has been obtained for the same. As such, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and submit the same thereafter in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
