Entering into a Cooperation Agreement between the University of Peradeniya and the International Development Research Center (IDRC), Canada

Various strategic methods have been adopted by countries to control the spread of Covid - 19 pandemic and to minimize its damage. In this instance, it has been planned to implement a research project on the impact caused to women, children and less privileged social groups due to the various strategies used by certain countries for the said purpose. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to enter into a Cooperative Agreement between the University of Peradeniya and the International Development Research Center (IDRC), Canada to implement the said project based on Sri Lanka and Malaysia, was approved by the Cabinet.
