Implementation of Flood Mitigation Projects in the year 2021

The Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation (SLLDC) has identified flood mitigation projects to be implemented in the year 2021 in order to minimize floods that occurred in Colombo, suburb areas and out of Colombo and to ensure the environmentally sustainable urbanization. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to implement the said projects through the provisions of Rs.2800 million allocated to the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation for the year 2021, was approved by the Cabinet.
