Purchasing seven (07) million Sputnik - V Vaccines

- The Ministry of Health has planned to vaccinate 14 million of the total population of the Sri Lanka to protect from the Covid-19 virus and as its inception, the Ministry is taking measures to vaccinate 05 million of the population. The National Drug Regulatory Authority has granted permission for the emergency use of Sputnik V vaccine in Sri Lanka. Therefore, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to purchase 07 million of Sputnik V vaccines to a sum of US $ 69.65 million, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
