Acquisition of "Anderson Golf Links Ground" where Shalika Stadium and Sports Complex is located, by the Sri Lanka Transport Board through a Free Grant

- The land called "Anderson Golf Links Ground" in extent of 3.4125 hectares, where the Shalika Stadium and Sports Complex is located, has been in the custody of the Sri Lanka Transport Board since 1966. Accordingly, the Cabinet decided to grant its concurrence to the joint proposal made by the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Lands to transfer the said land to the Sri Lanka Transport Board through a Free Grant in accordance with the provisions of the State Land Ordinance, subject to non awarding the right of selling the land to another party and charging its unimproved value to the Government.
