Repealing the Botanic Gardens Ordinance, No.31 of 1928 and introduction of a new Act

- The Botanic Gardens Ordinance, No.31 of 1928 as amended by the Act, No.32 of 1973 applies largely to the functions of the Department of National Botanic Gardens. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Tourism to amend the provisions of the said Ordinance which is around 90 years old, to suit the present needs, was approved by the Cabinet.
