Administration of temporary shelters for providing protection to female victims of violence

- Temporary protection shelters for female have been constructed in the Northern, Eastern, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces for the provision of temporary protection for female victims of violence and their children and out of which agreements have been signed with non-governmental organizations Women In Need (WIN) and Jaffna Social Action Centre (JSAC) with effect from the year 2018 for administration of the shelters in Jaffna, Mullaitivu, Batticaloa, Colombo and Matara. The proposal made by the Minister of Education for further obtaining the service of those non – governmental organizations to carry out the administrative activities of the relevant temporary shelters during the year 2021 too, was approved by the Cabinet.
