Paddy Purchasing Programme for the Maha Season 2020/21

- The Cabinet reviewed the progress of the Paddy Purchasing Programme for the Maha Season 2020/21 and granted approval to take necessary action to purchase paddy competitively along with the private sector to ensure the highest price for farmers under the said Programme. Further, if paddy was purchased under a higher price, the Cabinet decided to maintain the price of Nadu rice as Rs. 98/- per kilogramme without change.
