Submission of Regulations for the approval of Parliament issued under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No.1 of 1969

- The Gazette Extraordinary Notifications No 2206/5 dated 2020‑12‑14 and No 2207/15 dated 2020‑12‑24 have been issued incorporating the regulations published under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No.1 of 1969 for regulating the importation of local handloom and batik textile, regulating the importation of fishing boats, passenger vessels and boats and relaxing the limitations of importing selected goods which are not locally manufactured to meet the need of domestic industries. Therefore, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, to submit such regulations for approval in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
