Implementation of Traditional and Rural Industrial Promotion Projects
- An allocation of Rs. 2000 million has been made in the Budget 2021 to assist industrialists engaged in traditional industries to expand their production and to facilitate access to specific commodity markets. Accordingly, the State Ministry of Rattan, Brass, Pottery, Furniture and Rural Industrial Promotion has designed a program to be implemented during the period 2021-2025. The Ministry has identified the following projects under this program and the proposal made by the Minister of Industries to implement the said project, was approved by the Cabinet.

• Cultivation of Raw Material Programme for Rural Industries

• Establishment of Raw Material Bank

• One Entrepreneur per Village on Rural Industry

• Establishing a Timber Research and Development Organization

• Integrated Development on Rural and Traditional Industrial Village

• Local and Foreign Market Promotion Programme on Rural Industry
