Procurement of Chemical Fertilizer - 2021 Yala Season - (Early April Delivery)

- International competitive bids have been called to procure chemical fertilizer for Ceylon Fertilizer Company Ltd. (Lak Pohora) and Colombo Commercial Fertilizers Ltd. (Commercial Fertilizer) for early April delivery of 2021 Yala Season. Accordingly, the proposals made by the Minister of Agriculture to award the following procurement for the supply fertilizer as per the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee with regard to the said quotations, was approved by the Cabinet.

* To procure 40,500+5% MTs of Urea (Granular) under 270 days credit period from M/s Swiss Singapore Overseas Pte. Ltd. at US$343.10 per 1 MT.

* To procure 8,500+5% MTs of Urea (Prilled) under 180 days credit period from M/s Valency International Pte. Ltd. at US$ 364.74 per 1 MT.

* To procure 13,900+5% MTs of Muriate of Potash under 180 days credit period from M/s Agricultural Resources and Investments Pte. Ltd. at US$ 258.74 per 1 MT.
