Procurement of 150MW of Solar Power Capacities

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted to implement the procurement process on the establishment of 150MW Solar Power Plants in different locations across the country. Accordingly, approval has been granted at the Cabinet Meeting held on 14th December 2020, to award the procurements in respect of which appeals had not been made against the recommendations of the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee (CANC) and for which International Bids were called under 05 Packages. The Procurement Appeal Board has rejected the appeals made in respect of the rest of the procurements. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Power, to award the procurements to the selected bidders for the Anuradhapura, Habarana, Matara, Galle, Deniyaya, Kosgama, Mathugama, Pannala, Mahawa and Kurunegala Grid Sub‑Stations for a period of 20 years, was approved by the Cabinet.
