Maintaining the 'Ape Gama' Folk Heritage Exhibition Centre situated in Pelawatta, Battaramulla in Colombo District productively

- The 'Ape Gama' Folk Heritage Exhibition Centre has been administrated as a project of the Central Cultural Fund from the beginning up to now and the State Ministry of National Heritage, Performing Arts and Rural Arts Promotion conducts its administration under the guidance of the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs. Since neither a specific staff nor a Vote of Expenditure for the maintenance and administration has been allocated for the Centre, which is 13 acres 03 roods 25.1 perches in extent, it has been observed that it is being inactive. As such, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, to appoint a definite staff for maintaining the 'Ape Gama' Folk Heritage Exhibition Centre and to take necessary action to maintain the Centre in a formal manner, was approved by the Cabinet.
