Installation of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems in Small Island

- The Ceylon Electricity Board with the financing of the Asian Development Bank implements the 'Supporting Electricity Supply Reliability Improvement Project (SESRIP)'. Under the said project, international competitive bids have been called to install Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems in Nagadeepa, Delft and Analitive islands utilizing the widely accessible energy resources to improve the efficiency of the prevailing electricity network. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minster of Power to award the relevant contract to the M/s Sinosoar – Etechwin Joint Venture in China, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
