Collaboration between M/s CINEC Campus (Pvt.) Limited., Mahapola Ports & Maritime Academy of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and Sri Lanka Port Management and Consultancy Services Limited (SLPMCS) for design and delivery of Maritime Training Programmes
- It is essential to have a highly skilled and disciplined labour force which may be utilized for the ports and maritime industry for the growth and rapid expansion of the ports and maritime sector. The Mahapola Ports & Maritime Academy within the purview of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority is discharging the said functions. With a view to securing the related port services and other services, the Sri Lanka Port Management and Consultancy Services Private Limited (SLPMCS) was established with the contribution of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), Ceylon Shipping Corporation, Colombo Dock Yard PLC, Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) and the Ceylon Shipping Lines Ltd..

And, M/s CINEC Campus (Pvt.) Ltd. is another approved maritime training institute in Sri Lanka.

It has been proposed to share knowledge and resources between the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Mahapola Ports & Maritime Academy, Sri Lanka Port Management and Consultancy Services Private Limited and M/s CINEC Campus (Pvt.) Ltd. for achieving the purposes of promoting the seafaring career within the country, providing financial facilities to the trainees enrolled to the courses and promoting the Sri Lankan seafarers in foreign countries. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports and Shipping to authorize the Sri Lanka Ports Authority to enter into a collaboration with M/s CINEC Campus Pvt. Ltd. for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
