Establishment of a dedicated unit for International Cooperation under the purview of the Foreign Ministry

- With a view to achieving a robust economic diplomacy approach in the context of changing global economic and political environment along with the emerging Asia-centric economic landscape, it has been identified the essentiality of establishing a dedicated unit for formulating policies relating to economic diplomacy within the purview of the Foreign Ministry for the purpose of coordinating the functions of all key economic institutions. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Foreign Minister to establish a special unit for International Cooperation comprising the experts in the relevant fields, was approved by the Cabinet.
