Allocation of lands from State Plantations managed by companies to develop estate schools

- With a view to developing 354 estate schools belonging to 07 districts, the Cabinet decided at its meeting held on 2018‑04‑10, to allocate maximum 02 acres from the State lands with low productivity managed by the Plantation Companies located adjacent to aforesaid schools. In addition to the above schools, there are another 491 schools and a maximum of 02 acres of land should be allocated for those schools as well upon the necessity. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to allocate blocks of land for the said schools from the State Plantations managed by the Plantation Companies, was approved by the Cabinet.
