Alienation of a plot of land at Ratnapura New Town to the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council to set up an Office Complex

- The land called Palm Garden in extent of 348 acres at Ratnapura has been taken over by the Urban Development Authority for the Ratnapura New Town Development Project. The Chief Secretary of the Sabaragamuwa Province has requested the Urban Development Authority to allocate a plot of land for Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council Office Complex. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development & Housing to allocate a plot of land in extent of 04 acres and 02 roods from Palm Garden land to the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council for a lease period of 50 years, subject to payment of an estimated value imposed by the Government Chief Valuer, was approved by the Cabinet.
