Submitting the General Sir John Kotelawala National Defence University Bill in Parliament

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2013‑03‑01 to repeal the existing General Sir John Kotelawala National Defence University Act and to introduce a new Act to further expand the academic activities of the General Sir John Kotelawala National Defence University for the purpose of enhancing its role and functions as a National Defence University. Accordingly, the Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman has been published in the Government Gazette and the proposal made by H.E. the President in his capacity as the Minister of Defence to present the said Gazette Notification in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
