Construction of two buildings consisting of 30 houses under the Soyzapura Relocation Housing Project

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2014‑10‑16 to implement the Soysapura Relocation Housing Project for the construction of 05 buildings consisting 20 houses each to relocate 48 dilapidated two-storey, half-rented houses and 24 dilapidated shanties located within the premises of the Soysapura Housing Scheme. Accordingly, the relevant families have been resettled in 60 houses constructed in 3 buildings. Though, 40 houses on a pre-sale basis were planned to be built in the remaining two buildings it has been observed that only 30 houses can be constructed under the existing provisions. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development & Housing to construct 30 houses each consisting of 550 square feet on pre-sale basis, as a building consisting of 20 houses and a building consisting of 10 houses under the Soysapura Housing Project, was approved by the Cabinet.
