Formulating a Long-Term 'Human Resource Development Plan' for the Public Service

- Formulation and implementation of a long-term "Human Resource Development Plan" has been identified as an urgent programme for enhancing the performance and productivity of the public sector. Public Administration Circular No. 02/2018 dated 2018‑01‑24, emphasizes the need of preparing a Human Resource Development Plan by every State Institution. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government to formulate a long term "Human Resource Development Plan" with the participation of all relevant parties to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the public service, was approved by the Cabinet.
