Implementation of Livestock Development Projects for the year 2021

- It has been planned to implement “Saubhagya” Diary Development Programme and the "Dairy Development Centres" project in the year 2021 to increase local milk production under the State Ministry of Livestock, Farm Promotion and Dairy & Egg Related Industries. Activities such as improving efficiency of animal breeding, animal nutrition, animal health conditions and creating eco‑friendly farms through animal waste management are planned under the “Sauubhagya” Dairy Development Programme. The Dairy Development Centres Establishment Project aims to develop the milk value chain process by upgrading artificial insemination Centres, providing the necessary inputs and training, and networking Veterinary Surgeon's offices. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture to secure provisions within the 2021-2023 Medium Term Budget Framework for the implementation of these projects, was approved by the Cabinet.
