Eppawala, Rajanganaya, Nochchiyagama & Giribawa Water Supply Project

- A detailed financial proposal has been called from a Swiss Company to implement the Eppawala, Rajanganaya, Nochchiyagama and Giribawa Water Supply Project on the recommendation of the then Cabinet Sub Committee on Economic Management. The cost of the project presented by the said company was found to be very high. Therefore, taking into consideration the proposal made by the Minister of Water Supply, the Cabinet granted its approval to implement the said project under the local funds within the Medium‑Term Budgetary Framework pursuant to the plans prepared by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board by revising the scope of the said project.
