Presenting an appropriate methodology for determining and identifying the National Heritage of Sri Lanka

- Issues have arisen in identifying the Nation Heritages of Sri Lanka due to the absence of specific criteria or mechanism for the same. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs to appoint a Committee comprising of Experts /Scholars in the relevant fields to prepare a methodology in consultation with the views of the general public for the identification of tangible and intangible national heritages which ensures Sri Lankan cultural identity, was approved by the Cabinet.
