Providing relief for continuing inter-provincial bus operations in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic situation

- It has been decided to waive off the following charges from the bus operators with effect from March 2020 for continuing inter-provincial bus operations amidst the COVID - 19 pandemic situation.

* Permit renewal fees
* Late fees
* Tender fees
* Log fees
* Entrance fees
* Expressway
temporary permit fees

However, it has been identified that the bus operators need to be provided with relief enabling them to provide quality and efficient passenger transport service, since they have confronted with numerous constrains due to re-emergence of the pandemic situation. Accordingly, considering a proposal made by the Minister of Transport, the Cabinet granted approval for further providing the said concessions to the bus operators until the end of this year.
