Model Memorandum of Understanding on Police Cooperation

- It has been observed that entering into bilateral memoranda of understanding with the foreign police organizations who perform their duties in a highly efficient manner with the help of modern technology, will enable our police officers to share their experience, knowledge, skills and internationally recognized practices and standards on modern police duties. Therefore, the proposal made by the Minister of Irrigation and State Minister of Internal Security, Home Affairs and Disaster Management to enter into Memoranda of Understanding between the Ministry under which the subject of police falls and the foreign police organizations under the guidance of the Foreign Ministry to establish police cooperation under 17 fields such as terrorist activities, terrorist financing, drug related crimes, human trafficking and smuggling, money laundering, cybercrime etc, was approved by the Cabinet.
