Construction of houses for 14 selected devotees affected by the Easter Sunday attack at St. Sebastian's Church, Katuwapitiya, Negombo

- The Cabinet approval was granted on 2019‑09‑17 to implement a housing project for the families affected by the bomb explosion that took place at St. Sebastian's Church, Katuwapitiya, Negombo on 2020‑09‑21. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to award the contract for the construction houses for 14 selected families at a cost of Rs. 3.24 million per each under the above programme to the State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
