Establishment of Sri Lankan Embassies in Romania and Spain

- Diplomatic relations between Romania and Sri Lanka commenced in the year 1957 and so far, very good bilateral relations have been established between the two countries. Further, Diplomatic relations between Spain and Sri Lanka commenced in 1955. Accordingly the proposal made by the Foreign Minister to establish Sri Lankan Embassies in the said two countries with a view to further developing the existing relations with those countries with Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
