Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka Bill 2020

- The proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft legislation to introduce a new Act, in place of the existing Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka Act No.36 of 1987, incorporating the provisions required to regulate the stock market of Sri Lanka in keeping with current international best practices, was approved by the Cabinet.
