-According to the decision arrived by the Cabinet at its meeting held on 09th September 2020, approval had been granted to attach the Selacine Television Institute to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation to function as a separate Commercial Unit of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation. However, Since the commercial objectives of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation and Selacine Television Institute are different to each other, taking into consideration the further clarifications made by the Minister of Mass Media, the Cabinet granted approval to incorporate the Selacine Television Institute as a Limited Liability Company.
