-The Cabinet had granted approval at its meeting held on 2019‑05‑07 to commence the procurement process for the construction of the Stage 1 of the Import Cargo Terminal Building at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Accordingly, competitive bids have been called. The proposal made by the Minister of Tourism to award the said contract to M/s Nawaloka Construction Company (Pvt.) Ltd at a sum of Rs.2.37 billion, taking into consideration the recommendation made by the of Procurement Appeal Board, was approved by the Cabinet.
