-The Cabinet has granted approval on 2018‑09‑11 to complete the ground floor work of the Public Library building belonging to the Batticaloa Municipal Council. Accordingly, National Competitive Bids have been called for the said construction. The proposal made by Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to award the relevant contract to M/s Focus Marketing and Engineering Company (Pvt) Ltd. at a sum of Rs. 214.07 million (without VAT) as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
