Establishment of the Land Data Infrastructure and Land Information Service System

- It has been planned to establish the administration networks in the Sri Lanka Survey Department using new technology thereby expediting the survey process and increasing productivity with a view to rendering the services of the Department more efficiently. Accordingly, it has been found necessary to install the Land Information Service System with developed infrastructure facilities enabling the parties using land information to use the said information for their services. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Lands to implement the project for establishing the 'Land Data Infrastructure and Land Information Service System' according to the recommendations submitted by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), with an investment of US$ 60.33 million under the Government Programme of Sri Lanka Korean EDCF Loan Funds, was approved by the Cabinet.
