Action taken during the 45th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council

- The Foreign Minister informed the Cabinet that the 45th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council commenced on 2020‑09‑14 in Geneva, Switzerland and during the session the statements made by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights under the topic of “Global Human Rights Update” and by the United Kingdom on behalf of the Core Group of the Resolution 30/1 with reference to Sri Lanka and the response statement made clarifying the position of Sri Lanka on the allegations raised by the above statements and the Cabinet took note the same.
