Printing of school textbooks required for free distribution in the year 2021

- In the year 2021, 400 types of school text books required for free distribution have to be printed and the proposal made by the Minister of Education for printing of 13,890,000 copies from 106 types of school text books at a sum of Rs.1,093.71 million from the State Printing Corporation, and 25,541,500 copies from another 294 types at a sum of Rs.2,059.01 million by printing presses of the private sector selected through the open competitive procurement procedure, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee was approved by the Cabinet.
