Purchase of Coal for Puttalam Coal Power Plant under Spot Market

- The proposal made by the Minister of Power for obtaining the covering approval for awarding the procurement of 300,000 metric tons of coal for the Coal Power Plant at Puttalam under spot Market, to M/s Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises Pte. Ltd, to a sum of US$ 16.18 Million, as recommended by the Special Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
