Allocation of land blocks from Regional Industrial Estates to set up industries

- The Ministry of Industries implements the ‘Regional Industrial Estates Development Programme’ with the objective of promoting the industries at regional level. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Industries for the allocation of plots of lands for the inauguration of industries in the industrial zones of Ratmalana, Kalutara, Millewa, Nalanda, Ulapane, Makandura, Uva Paranagama and Batticaloa for 09 investors on a lease period of 35 years, considering to the recommendations submitted by the relevant Regional Industrial Services Committees, was approved by the Cabinet.
