Procurement of Chemical Fertilizer - 2020 - Maha Season (August Delivery)

- International competitive bids have been invited for the procurement of fertilizer for the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Ltd (Lak Pohora) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Ltd (Commercial Fertilizer) for the requirement of fertilizer during the month of August 2020. The Cabinet having considered the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee with regard to the said prices, the covering approval was granted to the proposal made by Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development for awarding the procurement for the supply of fertilizer as follows:

* To procure 60,000 + 5% metric tons of Urea (Granular) from Midgulf International Ltd for a sum of US $ 241.90 per metric ton.

* To procure 15,000 + 5% metric tons of Triple Super Phosphate from Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises pte. Ltd for a sum of US $ 239.00 per metric ton.
