Reopening Project of Production Processes of the Oddusudan Factory under Restructuring of the Ceylon Ceramics Corporation

- Approval of the Cabinet was granted on 2020 02 05 to make necessary arrangements for reopening the production process of the Brick and Tile Factory of Oddusudan coming under the purview of the Ceylon Ceramics Corporation together with Sampson Rajarata Tiles (Pvt.) Ltd. Nevertheless, the Ceylon Ceramics Corporation has already renovated the said factory with a view to reopening the same and further, it has been planned to commence its production process without the participation of any private entity in the future. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Small & Medium Business and Enterprise Development and Minister of Industries and Supply Chain Management to carry out its production activities by the Ceylon Ceramics Corporation itself without the participation of a private investor, was approved by the Cabinet.
