Procurement of Fertilizer - 2020 (for the month of July)

- International competitive bids have been invited for the procurement of fertilizer for the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Ltd (Lak Pohora) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Ltd. (Commercial Fertilizer) for the requirement of fertilizer during the month of July 2020. The Cabinet having considered the recommendation made by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee with regard to the said prices, the covering approval was granted to the proposal made by the Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development for awarding the procurement of fertilizer supply as mentioned follows:

* To procure 9,000 + 5% metric tons of Urea (Granular) from Agri Commodities & Finance FZE for a sum of US$ 260.00 per metric ton.

* To procure 6,000 + 5% metric tons of Triple Super Phosphate from Aries Fertilizer Group Pvt. Ltd., for a sum of US$ 249.07 per metric ton.
