Extension of the period of contract awarded to the State Printing Corporation for printing and supplying new Lottery "Daru Diri Sampatha" drawn by the National Lotteries Board

The agreement period of the contract awarded to the State Printing Corporation for the printing of the "Daru Diri Sampatha" lottery ticket by the National Lotteries Board with the objective of raising funds for the "Save the children National Trust Fund" has expired on 12.05.2020. However, the procurement procedure commenced for selecting a suitable printer after the said contract period has not yet been completed due to Corona pandemic. Therefore, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic and Policy Development to extend the contract awarded to the State Printing Corporation for the printing of lottery tickets, for a further period of 06 months from 2020.05.13 to 2020.11.12, so as to get the work done by the State Printing Corporation itself under the previously agreed specifications and price, was approved by the Cabinet.
