Obtaining additional provisions for forming infrastructure facilities essential for the e-motoring Project of the Department of the Motor Traffic

- The contract to implement the e-Motoring Project, which has been planned to transform the departmental services to public centric nature, has been awarded to Metropolitan Advanced Technologies Pvt Limited and agreement thereof has been signed in July 2018. Even though, the Head Office premises at Narahenpita and the District Office premises of the Department have to be appropriately organized in order to implement to the Project, nonreceipt of allocations needed for such infrastructure facilities has resulted in the delay in implementing the same. Therefore, Cabinet approval was granted to provide the necessary allocations through the forthcoming Budget to accomplish the essential and urgent tasks in order to implement the Project as planned.
