Maintenance of the Sri Lanka Poultry Development Company (Private) Limited as a farm owned by the National Livestock Development Board
- The Libyan Agricultural and Livestock (Pvt.) Limited (LANLIB) has been established in 1981 with 51% of its ownership with the National Livestock Development Board and 49% with the Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company. The share of 49% with the Libyan Arab Foreign Investment Company was purchased by the National Livestock Development Board in 2014 and is being maintained under the name of Sri Lanka Poultry Development Company (Pvt.) Ltd. At present, the company is in critical financial crises that its administration and management activities is in a complicated situation. Under those circumstances, the Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to liquidate the Sri Lanka Poultry Development Company (Pvt.) Ltd. and to take over the assets of the Mavaththa Farm and the staff which is functioning under the said company to the National Livestock Development Board.
