Providing a monthly living assistance to the Low Income Kidney Patients scattered all over Sri Lanka

- A program for providing a living assistance of Rs.5,000/- is being implemented in 82 divisional secretariat divisions in 11 districts with high risk of spreading kidney disease (Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Matale, Trincomalee, Ampara, Vavuniya, Kurunegala, Mullaitivu, Badulla, Moneragala and Hambantota). Accordingly, 25,320 low income kidney patients are being paid the said amount under this program. Further, approval of the Cabinet was granted to provide this monthly assistance for another 13,849 low income kidney patients in the waiting list.
