Procurement of Fertilizer - 2020 (April)

- The proposal made by the Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development to award the procurements for the importation of bulk chemical fertilizer for the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (Lak Pohora) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Limited (Commercial Fertilizer) for the month of April in 2020, operating under the Ministry of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development to the following institutions, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.

* 27,400+5% MTs of Urea (Granular) to the Valency International Trading (Pvt.) Ltd., at the rate of US$ 270.74 per 1 MT for the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Limited.

* 2,040+5% MTs of Urea (Prilled) to the Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises Ltd., at the rate of US$ 288.30 per 1 MT for the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Limited.

* 3,000+5% MTs of Triple Super Phosphate to the Golden Barly International Trading Pvt. Ltd., at the rate of US$263.00 per 1 MT for the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited.
