Procurement of the Island Wide Telecommunication System for the Sri Lanka Railways

- The Asian Development Bank has granted a loan for the development of the Colombo suburban railway improvement project and the Department of Sri Lanka Railways has planned to utilize a part of the said fund for the purchase of the Island Wide Telecommunication System. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Transport Services Management to award the said contract to JV of M/s Dialog Axiata PLC and M/s Dialog Broadband Network (Pvt.) Ltd., as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
