Accelerated Programme for State Land Management

- Approval was granted to appoint a Committee at the Cabinet meeting held on 2019‑12‑19, to make recommendations pertaining to the preparation of a simple and convenient mechanism for collecting the relevant rent without causing difficulties for the lessees who lease out Government lands. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Lands & Land Development, to implement the following proposals submitted by the said Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
* Write-off of the interest of the fine to be charged from the lessees;
* Providing a concessional period of one year for the lessees to pay arrears of lease;
* Providing them with the opportunity of paying the annual lease rental by 04 installments;
* Granting of a discount of 10% for the lessees who pay their annual rentals before the expiry of the first month of the period of lease;
* Providing facilities for the payment of lease rentals through the modes like post offices, credit cards, mobile phones etc.
