Placement of 50,000 Unemployed Graduates and Diploma Holders

- The approval of the Cabinet has already been granted for the placement of 50,000 inclusive of unemployed graduates and holders of diploma certificates recognized by the University Grants Commission as equivalent to a degree. Accordingly, approval was granted by the Cabinet for the following proposals made by H.E. the President relating to the implementation of the said programme:
* issuing of trainee letters of appointment to the graduates and the diploma holders recruited for the training under the supervision of the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government by the District Secretary/Government Agent
* provide the trainees with the necessary training by attaching them to the institutions identified during the period of training.
* at the end of the one year satisfactorily training period, to attach them to the institutions of the Central Government and the Provincial Public Service in the rural areas where they have opted to serve.
