Procurement of Fertilizer - 2020 (End of March)

- The proposal made by the Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development in regard to the procurement of fertilizer for Ceylon Fertilizer Company Ltd. and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Ltd., as follows, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
* 47,700 MT of Urea (Granular) at US$ 268.90 per MT to Agrifert Liven International Trading Pte Limited;
* 15,000 MT of Triple Super Phosphate at US$ 262.74 per MT to Valency International Trading Pte. Ltd.;
* 13,600 MT of Muriate of Potash at US$ 317.25 per MT to Agri Commodities and Finance; and
* 3,060 MT Urea (Prilled) for Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited at US$ 285.00 per MT to Agri Commodities and Finance.
